Without the support of sponsors, the cost of tournament fishing would be prohibitive for many college anglers. Equipment and supplies, not to mention travel to and from the events from the Lamar campus adds up quickly. To remain competitive the team relies on donations from corporate sponsors in and out of the fishing industry.
Sponsors are featured on the official tournament jersey as well as through other apparel and signage to promote their brands and products. The team can also make promotional appearances at a sponsors retail outlet, corporate function, etc.
